also at the ground the stand must be one of the most un-molested Leitch designs left as the family stand at the somerset road end was only the only addition in the 80's

Obviously not in the UK, or even football, but at the gaelic Grounds in Thurles, both ends are still mainly terraces with a tiny amount of touchline seating. Both ends still held about 40,000 in 1984 or therabouts. Even with crowd restrictions both must still hold at least 15,000 each. Corks GAA grounds also has terracing at both ends and both are still allowed hold about 10,000 each. Not that I am a real gaelic fan but Limericks ground also still has major terrracing new 3 years ago as has the slightly smaller terracing in Galways newly rebuilt GAA grounds. Coke park also holds 12,500 at the completly rebuilt Hill 16 end. So if anyone ever wanted to see real big terracing then come to Ireland this Summer and go to some of the all Ireland Championship matches.

Exeter City:

Northwich Victoria:

Halifax:

Exeter's Big Bank terrace - 4,000
Northwich's Dane Bank terrace - 3,300
Halifax stands - official capacity has just 4,000 standing places, but they could both hold 3,000+ by the looks of them.

I think the one end at Halifax is restricted to 1000 because of a lack of proper facilities. Normally they can hold over 3000.

On the subject of Odsal the terrarced capacity is around 18000 in a long sweeping terrace down the side and around one end linking up with the main stand

LEIGH RMI was has quite a lot of terracing left , but i've already been to see a match a few years ago playing Morecambe.
Cheers
Jim
Leigh dont open the terraces at either end these days. Only the little paddock bit in front of the Tommy Sale Stand. Thats the only stand they bother opening these days. I think the rugby team still use the terraced ends though.
Next Defeat: Everton vs Chelsea (Goodison Park)

Also, are you looking forward to the Conference?
It currently holds 4,500, and is going to be replaced with a large all seater stand with a capacity of anything between 4/5000, And also may have a designated standing area for the group ( www.the12thman.org ) to stand and sing and play the drums etc.
Also im not looking forward to the Conference as wrexham wont be in it will they boyo

I doubt you'll avoid relegation now, you signed Rob Duffy, you're doomed!
Chester are Daggers will go.

Chester are probably going down, I'd like to see Daggers stay up for at least one season though.
I mentioned it in a similar thread, but if you want big terraces we still have em in Ireland. Not for Soccer but in Gaelic. Croke Park has a 13,500 capacity new end terrace, convertible into a 6,500 open seated area for real Football. There are many other open and covered terraces ranging up to 20,000 in capacity. The Odsal in bradford must be a very big terrace as well. I'd say 10,000.
